**An appropriately trained staff member will provide telephone advice/service during office hours.

We are sensitive to your time and make every effort to see patients quickly. However, it is also important to us that every patient receives the time and attention necessary to address his or her medical needs. As a result we see patients in the following order:

1. Medical emergencies
2. Scheduled appointments
3. Same Day appointments
4. Walk-ins

We believe this best addresses the needs of patients and allows for smooth, consistent scheduling. We also appreciate your understanding when emergencies require schedule changes or create unexpected delays.

Greenway Medical Associates has a signed co-management agreement with Appalachian Urgent Care for after hours advice and care, as needed. Information is available to Appalachian Urgent Care to access GMA medical records by contacting the PCP at 828-268-4370 and will also be available via NCHIE.

If you need urgent clinical advice by a provider when the office is closed, please call 828-528-1006 and you will given instructions to leave a voice mail with a message to leave your name, telephone number and your physician's name. The greeting will then tell you that you will be called back in a short time by the on-call-physician.
